NPS workers are about to receive their retroactive pay, despite President Donald Trump’s controversial remarks in early October.
After weeks of disappointments, there is finally some good news for all furloughed NPS workers. According to a recently released memorandum from the Office of Personnel Management, all federal workers will soon receive retroactive pay for the weeks lost during the shutdown.
While some will rightly say this is the bare minimum, unfortunately, even this was not guaranteed. In early October, President Donald Trump's remarks seemed to suggest that retroactive paychecks should not have been taken for granted, raising concerns among all NPS employees and other federal agency workers.
