ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - A moped operator has died after being involved in a crash in Roanoke.

Roanoke Police officers responded to the crash at the intersection of 5th St. and Elm Ave. SW Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Officers say 56-year-old Timothy Harrison of Roanoke was taken to a hospital, where he died three days after the crash, said RPD.

The initial investigation revealed Harrison was headed north on 5th St. SW. He ran a red light and struck a truck that was driving east on Elm Ave. SW on a green light, according to the Roanoke Police Department.

The truck driver was uninjured, said officials.
