Susan Scheps (nee Weinberg), 82, of Chardon, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Nov. 12, 2025, after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born to Elmer and Rose Weinberg on April 1, 1943, in Cleveland, where she attended Cleveland Heights High School. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in English and Spanish from University of Toledo, where she met her husband Lawrence (Larry) to whom she was married for over 59 years.

She earned a master’s degree in library science from Case Western Reserve University and became a passionate and beloved children’s librarian at Noble Road Library, Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple and then at Shaker Heights Public Library for 29 years, where she was the supervisor of the Children’s Services department.
