Three major changes to driving laws could be brought in next year. The Government is set to unveil its new road safety strategy soon, introducing substantial alterations that motorists will need to adapt to.
Changed rules could include modifications to drink-driving regulations, seatbelt requirements and eyesight testing procedures. In a significant development, the drink-driving threshold in England and Wales is expected to be reduced in an effort to enhance safety and decrease road fatalities.
It is set to be lowered from 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath to 22 micrograms, matching the current limit in Scotland where drink-drive regulations are stricter, reports Birmingham Live .
