HURON COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Norwalk police arrested the man they said stole a large amount of money from the Knights of Columbus and the AMVETS Post 1965.
The two organizations share a building in the 200 block of West Main St.
Nathaniel O’Brien, 36, allegedly used a crowbar to break-into the building sometime between 11 p.m. on Nov. 11 and 4 a.m. on Nov. 12.
The crime was discovered on Nov. 12.
Norwalk police said they tracked down O’Brien through video surveillance footage from the Knights of Columbus and several surrounding businesses.
Police said when they arrested O’Brien at his Norwalk home, they recovered the crowbar and the money.
Police added that during the burglary, a fire exit, several safes and other machines inside were damaged.
