EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A woman was jailed after allegedly trying to run someone over with her car on Washington Avenue.
Evansville Police Department said officers responded to an assault in progress shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday.
The victim reported catching the woman, Melissa Noble, shoplifting. When he attempted to retrieve his merchandise, Noble allegedly hit him with a gallon jug of juice.
Noble then reportedly put her vehicle in drive and swerved towards the victim before driving away.
Noble was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond. She's charged with battery committed with a deadly weapon, battery, and shoplifting.
