New Mexico United will play in its first Western Conference final against top-seeded Tulsa, with dozens of fans traveling to Oklahoma on a bus trip organized by the team.
Fans will take two buses to and from Tulsa, and a team representative said the first bus sold out almost immediately, highlighting their effort to make the experience accessible to everyone.
For a team that started just seven years ago, New Mexico United has gained a large fan base. Last year, the team made it to the semifinals but was eliminated.
"I wasn't going to miss this opportunity for this historic game. We've never been this far in the tournament so there no point in missing this honestly. Would hate myself if I missed it," said Jae Stout, a fan.
