The Bharatiya Janata Party’s sweeping victory in the Nuapada by-election on Friday has drawn strong reactions from top Odisha and national leaders, who described the mandate as a reflection of public trust in the party’s governance and policies.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi hailed the win as a turning point in the state’s political landscape. Taking to his X handle, the CM stated that the result proves ‘the complete faith and trust of the general public’ in the BJP government’s welfare-driven policies and ideals.

He said the victory has ‘ushered in a new chapter in Odisha’s political landscape’.
