GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI – A man has pleaded not guilty in a hit-and-run boat crash that happened in August in Grand Traverse Bay, WPBN/WGTU reports .
Mark Mikula, of Leelanau County, pleaded not guilty to Grand Traverse County District Court for charges related to the alleged incident, the report said.
It is alleged that, around 1:22 a.m. on Aug. 31, Mikula was operating a pontoon boat on the West Arm of the bay without lights on, struck a 26-foot boat and then continued traveling north, MLive previously reported . The operator of the boat that was struck called 911 and was towed to shore.
