The case against President Donald Trump and several allies for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia will continue under a new prosecutor. In September, the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council of Georgia assigned the case to Peter Skandalakis , following the removal of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis due to an "appearance of impropriety" related to a personal relationship with a special prosecutor she had hired.
