CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake police responded to a school bus accident at the intersection of Rodgers Street and Chesapeake Drive.
Officials said a bus traveling south on Rogers Street side-swiped a car just before the intersection, causing that vehicle to lose control, hit a parked car in a driveway, and push it into a detached garage.
Chesapeake Public Schools confirmed eight students were on the bus. Parents were immediately notified, and all students and the bus driver were evaluated at the scene. No one was injured.
Police said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
