Two families in Ahmedabad clashed on Thursday evening after a 20-year-old youth from one family allegedly harassed a teenage girl – a minor – belonging to the other family twice over the past two months, police said on Friday.
A total of three FIRs have been registered in the case. One each was filed by the families against each other while in the third, the youth was booked under the POCSO Act, police said. No arrest has been made yet, officers said.
In the FIR filed on the basis of a complaint by the girl’s father, it was alleged that two months ago, the youth – their neighbour – had harassed his daughter. At the time, the two families and community leaders had settled the matter internally.
