Mumbai, Nov 14: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 1.7 kg of cocaine valued at around Rs 17.2 crore in the illegal market from a Tanzanian woman who arrived from Entebbe, Uganda, at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

DRI officials intercepted the passenger based on specific intelligence and recovered the contraband concealed in her baggage. In addition to the seized packets, officers also found two cocaine-filled capsules that the passenger had ingested, highlighting an attempt to smuggle drugs using both external concealment and internal carriers.
