LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Millard South captured its first state championship in 15 years, unseating the two-time defending champs Westside, 27-10.

The Patriots scored 21 unanswered with all three touchdowns going to senior receiver Aamir Hill to come away with the victory and snap the Warriors Class A record 32-game win streak.

“I’m just really happy for these guys, they deserve it,” head coach Ty Wisdom said. “They’ve put in the work day-in and day-out and now they really get to reap the rewards of being Class A state champs.”

Westside went into the game without head coach Paul Limongi, who was unavailable due to an illness.
