Last week, a portrait that wholly captures the President of the United States was released in the form of a news photograph.

In the foreground sits the Resolute desk, so named because an American whaler rescued the icebound HMS Resolute for Britain in 1856, and Queen Victoria, in gratitude, had the desk made from its timber. As captured by the portraitist, Andrew Harnik, four stacks of gold discs now lie on this desk. These are 24-karat-gold-plated drink coasters , branded TRUMP 47 and sold exclusively in Las Vegas for US$22,762. The manufacturer gave a set to Donald Trump for his birthday.
