A Pennsylvanian man was taken to hospital after his dog accidentally shot him in the back in a freak accident.
The 53-year-old man, who has not been named, said he was cleaning his shotgun and had left it on his bed when his dog jumped up, according to local police.
The animal had unintentionally shot his owner after jumping on the bed.
Police were called to the man’s home at around 11.13pm on Tuesday after officers received reports of a shooting in the 300 block of State Street in Shillington, Pennsylvania, according to local reports.
Officers from the Shillington Police Department found the man with a wound on his back, and he was rushed to the hospital to undergo an initial surgery to treat his injury.
