Pune City police have booked the driver, cleaner, and owner of the speeding truck in the Navale bridge road accident, on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Eight people were killed and 13 others were injured in the incident on Thursday evening.
Truck driver Rustam Rudar Khan, 35, and cleaner Mushtaq Hanif Khan, 31, both hailing from Rajasthan, died after their truck collided with a car and other vehicles in the Navale Bridge area on the Katraj Dehu Road Bypass of Pune - Bangalore Highway.
The two, along the truck owner Tahir Nasir Khan, 45, also from Rajasthan, were booked under sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 281 (rash and negligent driving), 125 (a)(b) (act endangering human life and personal safety), 324 (4) (mischief) of the Bharatiy
