BARREN COUNTY, KY.- Big changes are coming for the animals and families of the Barren County community as a familiar face prepares to step aside.
Connie Greer, the general manager of the Barren River Animal Welfare Association, will retire at the end of November after nine years of service. Greer has become a cornerstone of the shelter, dedicating what she calls her “whole heart and soul” to the organization.
She says the decision to divide her role into a shelter manager and an assistant manager will strengthen BRAWA moving forward.
Future manager Tena Edmunds says she looks forward to working closely with assistant manager Angie Herald, who will focus on media outreach and animal promotion.
