Surrey police are looking for a man who allegedly groped a child in a public place.
The Surrey Police Service said the 10-year-old girl was in a business in the 7100-block 138th Street at around 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 17 when a man approached her, allegedly grabbed her buttocks, then fled.
The sexual assault was reported to police 45 minutes later.
On Friday, police released an image of the suspect in a public appeal for help identifying the man.
He is described as about 20 to 30 years old and 5 foot 9 inches. At the time of the incident he was wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, dark-coloured overalls, a cross-body bag and over-ear style headphones over a light-coloured cap.
Anyone who knows the man or has information about the assault is asked to contact the Surrey police at 604-599-0502
