The Golden Bachelor winner Peg Munson had no concerns that Mel Owens might have picked Cindy Angelcyk Cullers if she hadn’t left the show early.

“Mel and I had a connection early on. I knew it, and he knew it,” Peg, 62, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, November 13, after the bombshell Golden Bachelor finale. “Cindy felt it, and I know she felt it, so that’s why she left because she just knew that. The connection between Mel and myself was a lot stronger than her connection with Mel.”

During the Wednesday, November 12, finale, Cindy, 60, self-eliminated from the competition in the middle of her fantasy suite date with Mel, 66, over concerns that she wasn’t going to be his final pick and future fiancée.
