A person was gravely injured in a shooting in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston on Friday morning.

The shooting happened at about 9:15 a.m. near 39 Bowdoin St. in Beacon Hill, according to the Boston Police Department.

One person was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds at the scene, police said. They were brought to the hospital.

Homicide detectives with the department responded to the scene, police said.

No arrests have yet been made as of 11 a.m. Friday. The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
