The Chester Upland School District and the city on Thursday hosted the annual Grandparents Pre-Thanksgiving Luncheon at Chester High School.
For the fourth consecutive year, the district partnered with Chester to bring a holiday celebration to local senior citizens and grandparents of graduating students.

Guests enjoyed a Thanksgiving-themed meal featuring traditional holiday staples, catered once again by the local restaurant, Red Brick Café.
Several dozen seniors attended and were welcomed with brief remarks from district Superintendent Dr. Latrice N. Mumin, district Receiver Nafis Nichols, Chester High School Principal LaMonte Popley, and Chief of Staff Claudia Averette, who played a key role in coordinating the event.
