The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has registered a historic victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, securing more than 200 of the 243 seats and ensuring a two-thirds majority.
This marks the BJP’s best-ever performance in the state, with the party emerging as the single-largest force for the first time.
Celebrating the win at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the party’s next mission is West Bengal. “Ganga flows through Bihar and reaches Bengal. Bihar has paved the way for the BJP’s victory in Bengal. Together, we will uproot jungle raj from West Bengal,” he said to a roaring crowd of party workers.
The 2026 Bengal Assembly elections, covering 293 seats, are expected to be fiercely contested between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress. Ke
