Drivers on the M5 near Bristol are facing delays of more than two hours this afternoon after a series of incidents brought traffic to a standstill.
A collision, an infrastructure issue, and flooding have all contributed to severe disruption on the motorway, leaving motorists stuck in long queues.
Two northbound lanes between junctions 20 and 19 have been closed this afternoon (Friday, November 14).
National Highways is warning of significant delays and urging drivers to avoid the area if possible.
Highways said: "Traffic has been released on #M5 #Somerset northbound between J20 ( #Clevedon ) & J19 ( #Portishead ) following a collision.
