Easton’s Heil Pool needs critical repairs, mayor says. The city wants a $750K grant to help.

Heil Pool in Southside Easton needs several repairs, and the city is seeking a grant to help offset the cost.

At its Wednesday city council meeting , Easton approved a grant application that would allow the city to apply for a statewide local share account.

According to the resolution, the city will request $750,000 specifically for Heil Pool remediations, located at 900 Packer St.

On Oct. 1, Easton Mayor Sal Panto held a city budget presentation , where he explained the repairs. He announced both Heil and Eddyside pools need remediation, which could cost millions in taxpayer dollars. He recommended prioritizing Heil Pool first and closing it for the 2026 summer season.
