HACC’s faculty union canceled plans to go back on strike this week , but could go back to the picket lines Monday, according to a news release from the college’s education association.
The union and college made progress, but came to no agreement, during a seven-hour meeting Tuesday and a nine-hour one Thursday, the union, HACCEA, said in a news release.
“HACCEA presented the college negotiators with one more possible path to a deal. Negotiators asked the college to respond by no later than 11 a.m. tomorrow (Friday),” the union said.
If no agreement is met, HACCEA said faculty will be on strike again Monday and plan to stay on the picket lines until a contract is agreed upon.
