FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — The body found in a Forsyth County ravine on Thursday is that of 15-year-old Carlos Mauricio Colindres , according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies held a press conference on Friday in which they detailed the discovery on Nov. 13 near Highway 158. Colindres was reported missing on Oct. 28, 2025. He'd last been seen at a party in the 400 block of Richard Drive.

Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough said people who attended the party were questioned as deputies investigated his disappearance. Deputies canvassed the area on foot Nov. 6. Day and night time drone searches were conducted Nov. 10.

Despite numerous searches, Colindres couldn't be found. On Nov. 13, construction crews near Reidsville Road reported human remains near the highway.
