25-year-old man killed in ‘targeted’ shooting at Mechanicsville apartment complex

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A 25-year-old man was found shot to death in front of a southwest Atlanta apartment complex Thursday night.

Officers responded to the 500 block of McDaniel Street around 11:30 p.m. The address matches the Columbia Mechanicsville Apartments.

According to Atlanta police, the man was struck in a common area of the apartment complex. The shooting appears targeted, they said.

Investigators are looking through security footage as the search for the suspected shooter continues.

The victim’s identity has not been shared at this time.
