NORMAL, Ill. – Midnight has struck for Tremont.

A self-described Cinderella run at a state title for the Tremont High School girls’ volleyball team came up short Friday morning.

The Turks fell in two sets (25-19, 25-20) to Cissna Park in the Class 1A State Volleyball semifinals at CEFCU Arena in Normal.

Sophomore Nora Parsons had five kills while senior Kaylee Johnson led the team with 11 assists.

They will play Norris City-Omaha-Enfield for third place Saturday at 9:00 A.M.
