Game, set and match! As the day comes to a close, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) achieved a landslide victory after crossing the 200-mark in the Bihar Assembly elections, while the Mahagathbandhan was completely decimated with only 35 seats in its name, as per current trends.

The election was a disaster for Mahagathbandhan’s primary national ally, the Indian National Congress, as Rahul Gandhi’s ‘vote theft’ campaign failed to find any resonance on the ground. The party won 19 seats in the last election, but managed to win only six this time, barely ahead of the AIMIM.
