Edinburgh residents living on the same street where a gangland hitman hid out after killing Marc Webley have shared how it feels living on the street after he admitted to his crimes.

Grant Hunter, 34, shot and killed Webley outside of a Granton pub just after 11.30pm on December 31, 2023 before retreating to a property on Matthew Street in the Niddrie area with his former girlfriend, Emma McVie, 27.

Hunter has now admitted his crimes and is set to be sentenced, alongside McVie and another associate Gary Robertson, 22 - who have both pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice - at Glasgow High Court on December 17.

In the wake of this, Edinburgh Live headed down to Matthew Street to speak to residents living on the same street where the pair were laying low.
