Michigan’s outside shooting was so good in the season opener that nothing else really mattered. The shots were not falling in the second game and the Wolverines still prevailed. Both performances pleased coach Dusty May.
“We still don’t know our best defensive lineups, our best offensive lineups, our best in between,” May said after Tuesday’s 85-84 overtime win over Wake Forest in Detroit. “This is a work in progress. But for us … to find a way to win is a compliment to our guys and their ability to just stay the course when the game got ugly.”
Michigan, 2-0 and ranked sixth in the country, will try to figure out another path to success Friday at TCU (9:01 p.m. ET, ESPN2).
