Calgary just made an appearance on a global ranking of the richest cities, landing among the top 200 spots.
CEOWORLD magazine unveiled its ranking of the world’s richest cities for 2025, and Calgary landed in the 159th spot.
The publication examined the 300 richest cities globally. The report looks at the gross domestic product (GDP) of cities across the world in USD, and Calgary’s currently sits at $321.85 million.
Only six Canadian cities managed to claim a spot on the list. Toronto and Montreal both cracked the top 100; Toronto took the 22nd spot on the list with a GDP of $917.49 million, and Montreal placed 76th with a GDP of $55.36 million. Vancouver, Edmonton, and Ottawa also made the list.
