9Jackson Township, NJ—The Jackson Township Council is pleased to share an update on this year’s leaf collection efforts and to reassure residents that our Department of Public Works (DPW) is working diligently to keep the community clean and prepared for the winter season.
DPW crews have officially completed the first round of leaf collection in Zone 2 and are already approximately 50% finished with Zone 4.
We recognize that many residents have noted leaves still remaining on trees, and that early-November collection may feel premature. However, beginning the process at this time is essential. With a township as large as ours, it requires a minimum of eight weeks to complete a single full pass. Starting early November ensures that all zones receive attention before winter weather sets in
