WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump issued a series of posts on social media Friday, complaining about the focus on the recently released documents from Jeffrey Epstein's estate.
Trump kicked off his Friday with posts about Democratic lawmakers, focusing on the thousands of documents released by the House Oversight Committee this week. The documents offered a new glimpse into what Epstein's relationships with business executives, reporters, academics and political players looked like over a decade.
Included in those emails were several mentions of Trump.
In a 2019 email, Epstein wrote to a journalist that said Trump “knew about the girls.” The White House has accused Democrats of selectively leaking the emails to smear the Republican president.
