A former football coach featured on the hit Netflix documentary series Last Chance U was shot on the campus of the community college where he serves as the athletic director.

The Peralta Community College District said in a statement that "a senior member of our athletic staff was shot on campus" of Laney College in Oakland, Calif., on Thursday, Nov. 13. He was taken to the hospital.
