SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — Months after a man was discovered dead in a front yard in Surprise , police announced they arrested a suspect they had been looking at all along.
Nathan Sobarzo, 27, was taken into custody on Wednesday and is facing charges for the death of his cousin, 53-year-old Sean Hernandez of Phoenix. Sobarzo was booked on one count of second-degree murder.
Family members found Hernandez’s body in the yard at the house near El Mirage and Bell roads on June 11, around 4 a.m. An autopsy revealed that Hernandez had been stabbed at least six times in his torso and arms.
According to court documents, family members told authorities that Sobarzo, who lived at the home, was a drug user and was “fixated on knives.” However, Sobarzo was not at home when officers arrived, and
