Kai Trump’s professional golf debut didn’t go as planned on Thursday.

The 18-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump remained upbeat after finishing last in the 108-player field at The Annika in Belleair, Fla, where she shot a 13-over 83 in the 108-player field.

She struggled early with bogeys on the first four holes and finished the birdie-less round with nine bogeys and two double bogeys.

Despite the challenging debut, Trump maintained a positive outlook on the experience.

“I was definitely more nervous than I expected, but I thought I hit a lot of great shots out there,” she said, via Fox News . “I hit a lot of good shots just to the wrong spots.”

Trump said competing against professional golfers while still in high school gave her confidence about her game’s potential.
