The MS Chi-Cheemaun moved more people and vehicles between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island this year.
According to the Owen Sound Transportation Company, this season, the Chi-Cheemaun’s passenger ridership increased by 1.2 per cent, while vehicle traffic surged by 4.7 per cent year-over-year.

The Chi-Cheemaun completed 887 crossings between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island this year. Due to inclement weather, eight sailings required cancellations over two days of the season.
The ferry’s last run of the season was on Oct. 26, and its repositioning fall cruise to its winter home in Owen Sound on Oct. 27 was sold out.
