Two 18-year-olds were arrested in connection to a September shooting death in the 700 block of W. 57th St.
Marcus Thomas was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Caesar Thompkins Jr., 18, turned himself in the following day in connection with the same case.
The shooting occurred on Sept. 18 at approximately 3:36 p.m. Savannah Police Department (SPD) officers arrived to the scene and found an unresponsive juvenile who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers conducted a traffic stop that evening on a vehicle leaving the scene at W. 63rd St. and Montgomery Street and found Thomas in the vehicle. He was also shot and EMS transported both individuals to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment where the juvenile died as a result of his injuries.
