These early road trips for the Lakers under head coach JJ Redick have been rough.

Last season, the Lakers went 1-4 during their first extended time away from LA and Redick had a crashout over D’Angelo Russell’s play in a blowout loss to the Grizzlies.

The personnel might be different, but the Lakers are in a similar spot once again. LA is currently on a five-game road trip and has lost two of its three matchups. Redick didn’t go berserk like he did last season, but he did have a short and not-so-sweet press conference after the Lakers lost to the Hawks.

After the team was once again beaten in blowout fashion, this time against the Thunder, Redick said it was time to right the ship.

“I think you have to look big picture then you have to look where your team is at right now,” Redick said
