MESA, Ariz. — A Mesa high school student has received a new bike with the help of a local Walmart and the city's police department after his was reportedly stolen.

Police said Nicolas reportedly had his bike stolen from a bike rack and had to walk to Westwood High School, which took him 45 minutes.

Well, that 45-minute walk is no longer for Nicolas after Officer David Kuenne with the Mesa Police Department reached out to a local Walmart, who donated a bike to him.

Police said that through a City of Mesa Transportation initiative, MesaMoves, Nicolas received a bike, helmet, bike lock and a pump.
