A highly-anticipated announcement about charging decisions in the Whitestown shooting investigation has been delayed until at least Nov. 17.

The Boone County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of 32-year-old Maria Florinda Ríos Pérez de Velasquez . Just before dawn on Nov. 5, she and her husband, Mauricio Velázquez, arrived at a home on Maize Lane in Whitestown's Heritage subdivision for a cleaning job, but had the wrong address. Ríos Pérez was shot in the head through the front door. The shooter told police dispatchers that people were trying to break into the house, according to radio communications from that day .
