BURNET COUNTY, Texas — A Burnet County man has been sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping.
Milton Escamilla was convicted on Nov. 7, the Burnet County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.
Prosecutors said in April 2022, Escamilla sexually assaulted a victim known to him and held her captive for about 15 hours. He was on parole at the time, having previously served several years in prison after a Llano County jury convicted him of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
During the trial, jurors heard testimony from the victim and her family members, who were present when the kidnapping occurred. According to prosecutors, police obtained Google image data from Escamilla and others that supported the victim’s
