The Chicago Bears opened the 21-day practice window for cornerback Jaylon Johnson on Friday.
“That’ll be exciting,” coach Ben Johnson said of Jaylon Johnson, who was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury in Week 2 on Sept. 20.
The Bears have to decide whether to activate Jaylon Johnson to the 53-man roster by 3 p.m. on Dec. 5 — and make a corresponding personnel move if a roster spot isn’t available — or he will remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
Ben Johnson said he’s been convinced that Jaylon Johnson is getting close to full health. The coach said on Friday that he saw Jaylon Johnson in the weight room and was excited about his progress.
