AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A man is receiving life in prison for the 2024 murder of Gregory McMullen.
Summit County prosecutors say Dareeque Dorman, 37, will be eligible for parole after 24 years.
Police say back in October, a Summit County Jury found Dorman guilty of the following charges:
One count of Murder – an Unclassified Felony;
Two counts of Felonious Assault – a 2 nd Degree Felony
One count of Tampering with Evidence – a 3 rd Degree Felony
In May 2024, Dorman visited McMullen’s residence at Lindsay Avenue in Akron for a social gathering.
According to prosecutors, Dorman and McMullen became involved in a verbal altercation and the situation escalated when Dorman produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the face, chest and back, killing him.
