LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Metro Council members narrowly voted Thursday to reappoint Ed Harness as the inspector general of Louisville.

The vote finished 14-12 in favor of his reappointment.

Some Republicans were concerned with Harness' performance as inspector general.

"The issue is about the decisions that have been made, and our concerns with those decisions that actually can reduce the credibility of the CRAB Board if they continue," Councilman Anthony Piagentini said.

However, Democrats were generally happy to see Harness keep his job.

"I just want to say I wouldn't want to see no one else in this seat besides Ed Harness," Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins said.
