STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 30-year-old man was shot in a parking garage next to the Staten Island Courthouse in St. George on Friday in a suspected suicide attempt, according to multiple sources.

The man was scheduled to appear in Supreme Court for a case, those sources told the Advance/SILive.com.

The incident was reported at 12:06 p.m. in the municipal parking lot on Central Avenue between Hyatt Street and Slosson Terrace, according to a spokesperson for the NYPD.
