CANTON, New York (WWNY) - A Massena man, who is currently serving time in a Wisconsin prison, has been brought back to the North Country to face vehicular manslaughter charges.
That’s according to St. Lawrence County District Attorney Gary Pasqua.
He says 39-year-old Brian Snyder was extradited from Wisconsin this week to stand trial for a July 2023 crash .
Fatal Crash
State police said Snyder was driving a pickup truck on Route 37 in the town of Lisbon when he crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with an SUV.
The SUV’s driver, 51-year-old Michael Barkley Jr. of Ogdensburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barkley’s father, 79-year-old Michael Barkley Sr., also of Ogdensburg, was critically injured.
