PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is getting ready for its yearly winter closures on several high-country highway routes.
Here’s a breakdown of what drivers can expect:
State Route 366 (Swift Trail): The highest sections ascending Mount Graham in Southern Arizona will close on Saturday, November 15.
The closure point is one-half mile past the Coronado National Forest’s Shannon Campground , where the pavement ends.
In eastern Arizona, State Route 473 between State Route 260 and Hawley Lake in the White Mountains is scheduled to close for the winter on Thursday, November 20.
State Route 67: This highway, which goes south from US 89A at Jacob Lake and leads to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, is set to close on Monday, December 1.
